Physiotherapy

Evonne Prince (formally Jefford) has been practising as a physiotherapist for over twenty years having qualified at The Royal London Hospital. During that time, she has travelled and worked in both New Zealand and Australia before completing her masters in manual therapy in Perth, WA. As part of her post graduate training Evonne has developed a high level of diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills which enables her to confidently assess and diagnose most conditions that she is presented with in clinic. Once she has assessed and diagnosed your condition she will then discuss her findings, giving a clear and reasoned approach that may form the basis of the most appropriate management plan that is specific to you. Evonne will also discuss a likely prognosis and provide details of timescale and cost involved in order to regain your full functional ability once more. Whether its back pain, knee pain, shoulder, neck or migraine, Evonne will be able to assist you back to good health again.

Rehabilitation
Once a patient has been advised of the cause of their symptoms and treated as necessary then rehabilitation in the form of exercises will be introduced. Evonne believes that in order for someone to reach their full functional recovery then rehabilitation must be an integral part of this process. This may be in the form of performing specific movements or carrying out gentle stretches and/or muscle retraining. Evonne has spent many years observing posture and movement patterns and can identify when faults occur and imbalance results. She will design a bespoke plan which will aim to correct, realign and rebalance in order that your symptoms do not reoccur and that your previous level of daily function may be achieved. Many of the programmes that she designs incorporate elements of yoga postures and stretches, bringing focus to the breath and to the specific alignment of joints and movement so that you can become a better observer of yourself, and improve the quality of your movement. She finds that this adds a much deeper level of specificity to the exercise or activity that brings overall far better results.
